The tender for the two short listed proponents will close on January 16, 2017. The YRA expect it will take 2 or 3 months for the ACT government to select a preferred tenderer.
The ACT government will then negotiate details with the preferred tenderer with a public announcement of the successful tenderer targeted for mid-2017.
The Community Panel, which includes members of the YRA committee, has already met with the two short listed proponents and will have further opportunities to review and discuss the proposals before the successful tenderer is announced. Once announced, there will be opportunity for wider community input since the successful tenderer will need to formulate an Estate Development Plan. The Estate Development Plan will be the key document for locking in the scope of development and the YRA will be proactively seeking feedback from their members once the draft is released.
